The Anatomy of a Power Suit
A suit is a silent introduction. Before you speak a single word, the silhouette and drape of your garment have already told a story of authority and attention to detail. The "Power Suit" is defined by technical mastery hidden beneath the surface.
The Internal Canvas
At the heart of every Newman Exclusive suit lies the horsehair canvas. Unlike mass-produced suits that use glue and synthetic fusing, our jackets are constructed with a hand-sewn canvas. This allows the garment to breathe and, most importantly, mold to your body over time. It is a living architecture that improves with every wear.
"True power doesn't shout; it is seen in the perfect roll of a lapel and the effortless drape of hand-canvased wool."
Surgeon’s Cuffs
One of the recognizable hallmarks of a truly custom garment is the functional buttonhole, or "Surgeon’s Cuffs." Historically, this allowed gentlemen to roll up their sleeves. Today, it serves as a subtle nod to the bespoke nature of your suit—a detail that cannot be replicated by ready-to-wear machines.
The Hand-Pitched Lapel
Look closely at the edges of our lapels, and you will see "pick stitching." These tiny stitches are the thumbprint of the master tailor. They ensure the edges remain crisp and prevent the fabric from rolling, maintaining that sharp edge that defines a Power Suit.
